There are season of energy, rest, work, and pain or loss. Each season has a purpose and is presented to you to help you grow in maturity, character, and your relationship with God. Being a Christian does not mean you get to avoid everything wrong in this world. It means you have help getting through things, facing things, and enduring things. You have the ability to find joy no matter the circumstances. It just requires you investing a little in what really matters in life: God.
God is in the details. He is involved in more things in your life than you are aware of. He hurts when you hurt, but He allows it to serve a purpose. You may never understand that purpose, but remember that some things are known by God that people will never know.
When you start investing into God, you are preparing yourself for change. This is good. Change is going to come whether you are prepared or not, so why not do all you can to be prepared. You need to be prepared to know what the signal is to act, change course, or be still. You have to know God to know His voice and His signals. You need to know how God moves throughout life.
You need to have the Holy Spirit living in your heart to be your personal guide in life. You have the Bible, invest time reading, praying, and engaging in it. The Holy Spirit is there to help interpret the Bible and be the voice on your behalf.
Do not be so closed off where you put God in a box. He will use unchristian sources just as much as Christian sources to get your attention or teach you something. Be open to His message and if you are not sure if it is from God, then test it the Bible. If it is not consistent to God's character, then it is not from God.
Value God's efficiency and endure for His name. It takes time to get there. You have to treat your salvation like an athlete. Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit on what to eat, drink, how to sleep, prayer, time, and all aspects of your life to help you learn how to endure and become a strong, mature Christian.
Efficiency is easier than endurance. It is not being lazy, but it is learning how to do things in the best way and order to save time, energy, and other resources. Use the resources that God provides you to be a good steward. Pray over knowing how to be a responsible steward and willing to live on faith. Sometimes living by faith requires you to take risk that a steward may not take. A steward will not waste, but is not a gambler either.
The point is to use all your resources to be an ambassador for God. Your time and energy is a resource. It is not always materialistic. You have so much to give even if you have no money. God is willing to show you a better way to live. All you have to do is invest into Him and listen. Watch His divine intervention. It does happen in your life.
Invest into other people with good character and are respectful of boundaries. Your time, energy, and heart are precious things to invest. Do not waste it on people that will never respect you as an ambassador of God. You should pray over them. You don't have to ban them from your life, but you don't have to give them all your time and energy. They will not appreciate it and likely to suck the life out of you in the process.
Endurance is an investment. It takes time to build it and make it strong. It is very much like weight training. You have to be deliberate and work at it even when you are tired, sick, or just don't want to. It is being intentional about making the best out of tomorrow, today. It is not worrying, but trusting in God to take care of the details.
Mental and spiritual endurance can be life saving tools. You have to learn how to take care of yourself before you can really help anyone else. It is not an easy lesson because it is not about being selfish. It is the opposite. It is getting and staying healthy, so you can work to help other people more.
Learn how to ask for help when you need it. There are life changing moments and if you are too exhausted to see them, then you may miss out on a major blessing. You can't fight a spiritual battle if you are already drained. God created people to need other people. You are not supposed to face life alone. Learn how to invest into your own health (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual), God, and other people. This is how you will have the best life you can live.
