El Gibbor is Hebrew for the Mighty God. I have mentioned before that God has many names to describe the one Living God. Today we will focus on how He is mighty. We will focus on how to praise this name.
When you think about God, what is the first instinctual thought? Is it to shout for joy because He has saved you? Is it fear? Is it doubt or disbelief? You have to understand what you believe and why to be able to grow.
God is mighty. He deserves to be praised. However, it can't be forced. You have to get to this place of singing out your rejoicing on your own. Start by looking at his power. If you don't believe in the first verse of the Bible, then how will ever grasp or believe in His power?
God displays His power everywhere you look. It is awe-inspiring. He preserves life. He test you so that you can understand yourself better and see Him more clearly. It is a refining process that reveals your true heart. If you let Him guide you through, then you will be at a place of true praise and peace. It probably feels like a burden at the time, but when you get through what comes next will feel easier. It is a growing process for integrity and motives.
God is mighty because He always keeps His word. He is paying close attention to every detail. That is why when we make a vow, we need to fulfill it while staying in prayer. That is how we honor God. It is a step in being transformed into the true person He made you to be. His mighty strength is enough to enable you to love in a world that feels like it is rejecting you. He loves freely, so that we can.
