Yahweh Malak

 

    If you are anything like me, then you don't like the idea of anyone reigning over you.  You may not say it out loud.  You may not even display on outburst or any emotion on the subject, but you don't want anyone having that kind of power over you.  To reign is for a person to hold royal office.  That is one person gets to decide what happens to a nation.  It doesn't matter if they care about their people, they have control over them.

    God's reign is a little different.  He is over all of man kind, but unlike a human he knows you personally and cares.  He is not making biased decisions.  His rule was set a long time before you were born.  It is laid out so you can choose to follow or not.  When you break one of God's rules it is called sin.  Like it or not, it doesn't change.  The name for God when defining His reign is Yahweh Malak.

    Yahweh Malak is majestic, strong, firm, and eternal.  His reign is well established and will never end.  It is eternal or in other words timeless.  I can see where that could be scary for some.  Nations break apart due to leadership issues.  The difference is that God's way is fair for everyone.  God created you, so He is invested on what is best for you.  It is not about personal gain for Him.  He has proven Himself reliable.

    Yahweh Malak created the world in which we live in and that includes nature.  He reigns over all of it, not just us.  His reign is perfect, we are what makes the world complicated.  Yahweh Malak is Holy.  That is powerful because He has the ability to make us Holy too.  He is the foundation of truth.  When you feel like you can't trust your government or that it all feels wrong, then go to God's Word to feel stabilized.  You can see what the government, leadership, and society is supposed to look like.  You can pray to see how you can help it change.
