Confession is good for the soul. It is taking a burden and removes it. There is a down side too though. It requires you to take responsibility for your part in something. The best confessions come when you are not requested to answer for something, cornered, or caught. A true freeing confession comes from conviction to do what is right and make amends no matter how much work it may require.
It is hard to live in the world. We all sin and fall short of God's standards, but when we are in His good grace life is better. God is never going to force you to do anything, but He will allow consequences to carry out to the end. Making confessions to God of your weaknesses, sins, or thoughts will give you strength. It will enable you to face whatever you need to confess to other people and face the fall out.
God is so good that He watches over you even when you sleep. You can sleep better when you go to bed with a clear conscience. Don't let the destress of life take away your peaceful sleep. Live an honest life with confession and He will protect you from deceitful tongues or human judgment. He has compassion for you.
