If you acknowledge that God exist, then you probably want His favor. But what does that look like? How do you know if you have His favor? Do you see it or is it something other people see inside you? God's favor starts with humility. That means that these are not easy questions to answer all the time.
If you are seeking God's favor, then you need to lift your eyes to Him. You have to acknowledge who He is when you ask for favor upon your life. Go to Him with all your questions, but open for His answers. When we think we have the answers, then we will never hear His. Go to Him willing to be patient. It can be a long road that He is leading you on and it can be a long time before you see what He has done and is doing in your life.
To seek God's favor requires you to put away all contempt or arrogance while seeking approval. The world is not about making you happy. It may feel like it is all about you because of your peripheral view point, but in reality even your life is not always about you. It requires you checking your self-importance at the door of prayer to be able to really see your value in God's eyes.
