Jesus' Relationships

Jesus has been all about the relationship with people since the creation of mankind.  When he walked this world, he made effort to make real connections with people.  It is a type of relationship you don't have to question.  You can trust him and allow him to make you feel special because to be alive you are special.  He gives you value.
Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a governing person over the Sanhedrin.  He snuck to see Jesus in the dark of night, so that his co-workers would not be aware of the visit.  He visited in secret because he didn't want the others to be aware that he took value in what Jesus said.  However, the encounter would resonate with him and change his perspective.  Nicodemus was interested in Jesus' signs, so Jesus had to redirect his thinking.
Jesus explained to Nicodemus how we can have eternal life (born again), but it was not clear.  I think Jesus intentionally kept the fact that he came to show us eternal life vague so that Nicodemus would not walk out with the same ideas thinking Jesus was just another teacher or philosopher.  Jesus wanted him to really think about eternal life.  Once Nicodemus understood, then he would be ready.
At the time though, Nicodemus was thoroughly confused: how can a grown man go back into his mother's womb and be born again.  He didn't understand that Jesus was talking about a spiritual rebirth.  Jesus would not discuss Heavenly things until Nikodemus was willing to accept what he was telling Nicodemus about the earthly things.  Nicodemus needed regeneration of faith.  That is how Jesus personalized that relationship.
Jesus came to give us eternal life (not to condemn it).  He was to be the sacrifice that condemned the world.  Faith in his resurrection is the only escape from being condemned.  There are no other options.  It is your choice.  He taught us how to accept love and to give love.  Jesus knew what he was talking about in a way none of us will until we experience it.
Jesus is the light in the dark.  Evil hates the light, so it is constantly trying to destroy him.  To be embraced in light only takes a few steps.  First you have to accept, believe, and testify your faith in Jesus.  Second you need to be baptized as soon as possible.  John the Baptist baptized in a ceremonial cleansing, but Jesus made it a spiritual cleansing.  It is the first step of faith.  If you can't do that, then nothing else will be as affective.  Third, take the time to get to know Jesus and grow in your faith while learning your spiritual gifts.  Lastly, start ministering wherever the Holy Spirit directs you as a spiritual force.
Get a mature Christian to be your mentor.  They will help you steer correctly in the murky waters of life.  They will also pray for you in your journey.  They will be your biggest cheerleader or honest with you when you fail.  John the Baptist was not Jesus' mentor, but his work was like a mentor.  When Jesus was baptized he was thrilled for what would come.  He knew it was his time to take a step back and allow Jesus to take the spotlight and he did so gladly.  They had a special relationship, but did not get a lot of time together.
Jesus' relationships are personal.  They are personalized for each person.  They are all special.  He takes the time for you.  Will you take the time for him?  You are the only one who can give testimony on the relationship you have with Jesus.   The Holy Spirit is the seal of your relationship that gives it power of influence.
