God the Man

Jesus is God in the flesh.  He is God the man.  He was fully human and fully God at the same time.  He just restricted himself more to be human.  Jesus is sovereign, eternal, unchanging, all-knowing, perfect (sinless), holy, and true.
Jesus demonstrated his power while on Earth, but not in the same way he will when he returns.  He displayed his power over the elements of the earth.  He commanded a storm to stop and the wind died and the wave went calm.  He exhibited his power over the body by healing the sick.  He showed his power over the spiritual world by removing demons and evil spirits.  He unveiled his power over life and death by resurrecting the dead.  He resurrected his friend Lazarus, but he also resurrected himself.
Jesus never denied his power, but he also did not advertise it.  He exercised it to help people and direct them to God.  He was always directing our attention to the eternal and spiritual world instead of being consumed by the world we live in.
Sin has a powerful grip on people.  Jesus' power is stronger.  He has the power to forgive our sins and remove them completely.  That is the power that He tries to get across.  Have a relationship with God and be saved from sin.  You will discover a better internal life and experience an eternity of peace and joy.  The only way is through Jesus.
