Clean or Unclean? Part 2

The thought of cleanliness and sanitation affects people in a wide range of ways.  The subject is vital for some and not so much for others.  You add religion into it and people can go crazy over the subject.  Lets take religion out and look at it in how you live your life.  Try to see it from God's perspective for a better life for you.
If we do not take care of ourselves, then we leave ourselves vulnerable to all sorts of diseases.  Our bodies are built to be strong, but they are also vulnerable.  Cleanliness does not guarantee anything, but it fights against a lot of issues like skin diseases.  Eating healthy can take care of a lot of skin related issues.
A skin disease makes a person unclean on the outside, but it does not always reflect the soul.  When God first approached this, leprosy was the most dreaded disease.  They did not know how a person contracted it, but it was a brutal way to die.  That is why God established laws to help groups protect themselves.  A person with a skin disease was isolated for a week and then reexamined.
Skin disease was not the only skin condition considered unclean.  It was lesions, burns, boils, skin allergies, and anything that kept your skin from being perfect.  It was a tight living quarters, so the situation was serious.
Isolation was the only way to guarantee the whole camp would not get sick.  when a person got an illness like leprosy they lived the rest of their lives in isolation.  Being sick and not having anyone take care of you is horrible, but to be dying and alone is worse.
Mildew was an unclean condition that could spread like disease.  Contaminated items like clothing were isolated for a week, then tested.  If it still was contaminated, then it was burned.  Mildew is destructive.
We should take a good look into our lives to see what can be destructive.  When we figure out our own personal destructive nature, we have to figure out if we are willing to get rid of it or let it keep us isolated from God.
