Law of Obedience

God sums up the entire book of Leviticus in these last two chapters.  He expects obedience, but He knew that people would not be obedient unless He spelled it out for them.  The thing is, once He does, then we have no excuse for disobedience.  We can't say well I didn't know.
We are obedient through living a life of worship toward God.  We put Him first and do not allow room for any other type of god.  We observe the Sabbath as a holy day and actually rest.  We observe all His rules and regulations.  We do it out of love, not the reward, but it is nice when we get the reward.  It is always good to have food, rest, and peace in the heart and soul.  He rewards us with strength.
If you chose to reject God's laws and regulations, then you should live in terror.  It is like breaking rules at work, getting caught, and then fired.  Well, when God fires you, then He is sending you to one location and it is not where you want to be.  You don't go there immediately.  First you may loose your health, vibrancy, youthfulness.  You may lose luxury in life to the point of not always having food.  He will do what it takes to break pride.  Until pride is broken, He will be against you because your fate is not set until death.  The point is humility and repentance to restore your relationship.  It is out of love, not spite.
Some people made vows to God where they dedicate things from money to their lives to God.  Firstborns can't be dedicated to God because they are already His (you can go back to Exodus to read more about that).  Here is where you find what is acceptable and what is not.  To make a vow to God always has a price while you are on the earth.  When you make a vow, be determined to fulfill it.
