Law of Years

The Law of Years probably sounds weird.  You probably never heard it before.  The thing is we need rest, but so does all of God's creation.  He created laws to ensure that the very soil that produces food gets rest, so that it can produce good food.
When you own land and work it, look at the years like the week.  You work the land for six years, but let it rest for an entire year on the seventh year.  God has science to back Him up in almost every single law that He created.  If you honor His laws, then you will see a great reward.  This however science does not stop flooding, drought, or some other natural disaster.  That is just a part of life: personal, spiritual, and physical.
The Year of Jubilee is the Seventh Sabbath Year.  It is when you have been in a location for 49 years, you turn year 50 into the liberation year.  (Listen up people approaching 50.  It means that you need to celebrate.)  This is a Holy year. This year you do not to eat meat, but after Jesus came He made it okay to eat meat if you are led.  It is a year to give the land itself back to God.  It is the year where things go back to what is right.
He will do with the land as He pleases, He just lets us live here.  We should remember that when it comes to the people that work for us or with us.  We need to treat them properly and fairly.  It may be a hard financial year, but give to the poor.  I think this year, we all understand how finances can tighten up a bit without any notice.  You never know when you may be that person in need.
