Affect of Passion

A life without passion is a life not lived.  I life without a Spiritual passion is no life at all.  It is the walking dead.  The walking dead think they are alive living a life that suites their needs in the moment, but it leads to nothing.  A life with passion for salvation is a daring life.  It may look weird to the world, but it has something they all want: true purpose and drive.
The king's passion led the nation to change.  After the Passover the passion in Judah arose with a wild awaking.  It empowered them to do things that no one had attempted in a very long time.  They tore destroyed all things that were pagan and took drastic steps to return God to their daily lives.  The world would just see destruction of history or artifacts and an insult to their gods.  It probably scared them as much as disturbed or angered them.
The Levites and priest were assigned duties according to their genealogy.  The days of doing what you felt like doing were over.  There was purpose again and their passion poured over onto the people.  The people began to tithe again with joy.  God was worshipped and praised the way He had originally taught His people.  In return He blessed them.
King Hezekiah worshipped God in a personal and passionate way before he led his people toward God.  We all have to take care of ourselves before we can tend to others.  Otherwise we would all fail and die spiritually.  The King worked diligently to be obedient to God.  He gave God all of his heart and God rewarded him for his faithfulness.  Living for God passionately is not always easy, but it is the most rewarding thing life offers.
