When God speaks His has something personally for you. With Elijah, he used angels, birds, wind, earthquake, and more. With Moses is was a burning bush. With Job is to was a storm. In the old testament it was almost always nature because that is what His people understood. Now, we have the Bible and Jesus's sacrifice.
God said what Job needed to hear. Job struggled, no one can deny that, but he stayed faithful to God. God rewards faith mostly with wisdom. His rewards are normally personalized and not really noticed by the world.
Job was truly humbled by God speaking to him personally. It is what he wanted, but he really did not think it would happen. He probably thought that he was dead at one point until reality was able to sink back in.
At the same time it was probably really scary to have God speak to you in a storm and demand answers for how you reacted to certain things. God had to hold Job accountable for his negative attitude, anger, and despair. He did it for Job's own good. Job was immediately humbled.
Who was Job to question God's justice? Who are we to question God? He is able to do whatever He wants and whenever He wants to because this is all His. We are all His. We should not question His justice, but we can ask for wisdom to understand His justice. If we ask for wisdom, then He will give it to you.
Job 40
