God is present. God is communicating. We have to be listening, looking, and searching. If we do, then we can hear Him. We can see Him in the small things. He is there in the good times, bad times, hard times, and the normal day. He is always wanting you: hear from you, talk to you, be close to you.
We can learn a lot about God and ourselves in the hard times or life struggles. Like as a child when you get hurt, you learn not to repeat that action to avoid getting hurt again. It is a valid lesson in life. The thing is that the lessons never stop coming. There is some pain that you have to learn how to work through. Not all pain can be avoided.
God never changes. It is people that are constantly changing due to experiences, feelings, hormones, personality, and other factors. God will never be conquered. He created everything and ultimately has the power over everything. Fighting Him is meaningless. He is unmovable, steadfast, and loving. You can't physically hurt Him, but hurting yourself does hurt Him. That is why he breaks the proud. It is for their own good, not to hurt them.
