We don't have to like the word sin or sinner. We don't have to like everything that the Bible says. That doesn't matter. The reality is that the Bible is not going to change just because we don't like everything it has to say. It doesn't change that fact that "good people" sin. It doesn't change the fact that sin can never enter Heaven and that we all have a choice to make.
A sinner is fool when they declare that there is no God. They are determined to be gods of their own life. A sinner is a person that makes themselves vile according to God's Word. No one can live up to the perfect standards without knowing what they are. By that point they have sinned a million times over. You can seek God and forgiveness and have it removed. Or you can insist on doing everything on your own never finding freedom from sin.
God sees all your actions. He knows all your thoughts and motives. He understands your heart better than you do. We have all turned away from God at one point or another, but that doesn't mean that we can't turn to Him. Isn't it better to go talk to Him than to try to shut Him out. A wise person turns toward God while a fool will turn away. Facing God and His standards is not always easy or pleasant, but it does lead to a freedom that you may never experience again.
We are all flawed. The question is do we learn from our sins? Do we strive to move closer to God or push Him away? He is the only one that can redeem us from our sins. Don't live in dread, fear, anger, resentment, or with a chip on your shoulder. Chose to learn what He expects and make an educated (instead of an emotional) decision. It is yours either way.
