Prayer is not a dreamful hope. It is not wish request. It is a conversation. Some conversations have more urgency than others, like when you ask God for protection. Those prayers need a response a little more urgently than a prayer about who you should marry, how to dress for the day, or other similar conversations. God will answer all of your prayers, but in His timing and according to the urgency.
When you pray and you trust that God will handle the situation, then your soul can take refuge in trusting Him. Seek God out every time you feel the anxiety kicking in and let it go because you know that His is listening and that He cares. God is loving and faithful, so you know that He is bound to keep His promises and respond to your prayer.
It is important that we praise God for answering our prayers, even if you have not seen it answered immediately. It is important because it recognizing that you are aware that He is working on your behalf. His glory is exalted in Heaven, but are we exalting Him here and now? Do our daily actions show a steadfastness that He shows us?
God will be glorified one way or another. Are you going to be a part glorifying His name or do you expect Him to be your Genie and answer all your wishes? Your prayer life is a direct extension on your relationship with God. Is it one way relationship or are you willing to sacrifice some things to be closer to Him?
