Elohim

 

    Elohim is maybe my favorite name for God.  It is the name that describes His majestic power.  The name came about because He created the Heavens.  That is not even introducing the earth and everything in it.  Elohim is about how He has introduced Himself to some people like Moses and Abraham.

    God's power is a mystery.  He is a warrior for His people and creation.  It makes His enemies flees and His children rejoice.  This powerful God adopts people into His family.  He becomes the father to those that choose to believe in Him.  He is the defender of the vulnerable and oppressed.

    God is so powerful that He can speak anything into existence.  Yet, He is personal that He is there to remove our feelings of loneliness, isolation, or being a prisoner in your own life.  He finds personal ways to encourage us.  He is the ruler of a vast majestic army of angels and people and yet He cares about the individual.

    God uses His power to refresh us.  He understands that this world can take a lot from us and that we can't follow His path if we are too weary.  If you let Him, He will help you keep your rebellious nature in check.  He is your biggest advocate to succeed, so He is there to help.

    God is Strength.  He shows it every day.  We just need to be paying attention.  Remove yourself from the world's labels and titles (life's smothering box) and imagine what kind of power He is trying to give you to be able to fulfill your purpose in this world.
