We all need protection: spiritual, physical, emotional. Sometimes it is as basic as sunscreen or preventive care like vaccinations or medication. Other times it can be from a warzone. Seeking protection is a proactive response to a possible situation that may never occur. Needing protection is facing a situation that is happening.
You can seek protection from things, other people, or God. Being proactive is to educate yourself in an area. This is wise, but true wisdom comes from God. He can direct you and protect you better than anything. People have their own intentions and ideas that influence how their mind works. God hold the truth and your best interest when guiding you, especially in dangerous waters. He wants to take away your fear and anxiety.
Go to God with your complaints and opinions to remove any bitterness from your heart. Pray over your issues and be open for His input. The goal is to see things clearly and remove the blame game. You need to see how He is working in and around your life.
To seek protection sometimes requires us to make changes in our lives that we may not want to make. Instead of reacting or getting defensive learn why it may not the best path for you. A tongue is one of the deadliest weapons. We may need protection from our own tongue. One of the worst things we can do to ourselves is negative self talk. It belittles the creation that God made and it can over time cause us to do self-harm.
Seeking protection is going to God with an open heart and mind and letting Him show you where you you have allowed the evil of the world to influence you and put you in danger. God can reveal the cunningness of people to you. He can reveal who is trustworthy and who needs to be removed from your life for your own protection. It will not always be black and white, but times reveals the heart.
