What do you think about when you think about security? Does your mind go to comfort, safety, protection, feeling special, or something else? We all need to have a sense of security to survive this world. It would help if we had a clear sense of what it meant. Security is the state of feeling free from danger or a threat.
We are all in the shadow of God. We will never be greater than the one that made us. However, His figurative shadow is different than a person's. People prioritize importance of other people and themselves. God sees us all the same: cherished. His shadow provides protection. It is a refuge that you can trust to keep you safe.
If you are a Christian, then you have security of your eternity. You know that you can trust God with your soul even though you don't "know" what will happen after death. There is a lot of dispute on if you go to Heaven immediately or stay in the grave until judgment day. It doesn't really matter. What matters is where you stand in salvation: are you or aren't you.
God is faithful to protect His people. You don't need to be afraid of what the world throws at you if you believe that. It may be hard, cruel, and unfair, but He will get you through it. The world may seem to be falling apart all around you, but His guardian angels protect you. Nothing can touch you unless He gives permission. He is shielding you even if it may not feel like it.
God's love is security. We may spend all our energy trying to show our love to Him, but in will never compare to how much He loves you. He shows you daily, so when He calls will you answer? Will you push your fear and doubt to the side to do as God ask? It may take a huge leap of faith.
