Ayin is the 16th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. It literally means eye. The eye is it's symbol. By extension Ayin is about seeing that leads to understanding and obedience. It represents the world of sight and perception. In Phoenician it is also ayin. In Aramaic ʿē
, Syriac ʿē ܥ, and Arabic ʿayn. It is the origin for the Greek and Latin O which gave way to the English O.
God does not abandon His people. He will not leave you to your oppressors. He is just and righteous. He will use them to have you search for Him more earnestly. To search for understanding we need to search for righteousness. It gives us the confidence to ask God questions that you would not ever ask an oppressor or a person that rules over you. It is okay to have righteous anger when things are wrong in the world or your life.
God teaches us His ways through love. If you don't understand love, then it can be hard to comprehend what He is trying to teach you. God's ways require discernment to gain real understanding. Loving God is the beginning. It leads to you hating what is wrong in His world. You don't hate the people, but you do hate the sin that causes so much pain, anger, and disaster that makes people's lives false or hateful. There is nothing more valuable than love.
Psalm 119: 121-128
