Samekh

 

    Samekh is the 15th letter in the Hebrew Alphabet.  It means support.  Unlike most letter in the alphabet it is constant.  It doesn't change in the phrasing.  It is the Samekh in Phoenician.  Syriac is semkat. Arabaic is simkath.  It was never included in the Latin Alphabet, so it is not in the English Alphabet.  

    Samekh is for the people that are upright and completely surrendered to God.  It is for those that are not double-minded.  They venture out on their path with purpose.  They will not be distracted.  They have a since of urgency about what they are doing.  People that know their path and where they are headed have little patience for the weak minded, doubts, or willing to walk in wickedness.  

    We all need the Word to protect us.  To show us our weaknesses, fears, doubts, and strengths.  It can protect us from letting the judgment of other people affect how we live.  It can sustain hope.  You can't lie to God.  He sees your heart and true intentions.  When you really take a look you see that you are better off and safer the closer you are to Him.
