Resh

Resh is the 20th letter in the Hebrew Alphabet.  It also is an abbreviation for Rabbi.  It means head, leader, or beginning.  In modern Hebrew it represents wickedness, a person wanting to correct their ways.  In Phoenician it is Rūsh.  In Aramaic and Syriac is it Rēsh ר.  In Arabic it is Rāʾ ر.  In time it evolved into the Greek rho (Ρ/ρ), Latin R, and Cyrillic P.
God sees you living your life and all that happens in it.  He knows when you are suffering and will deliver you from evil.  He is your defender and redeemer.  He offers salvation to everyone because of His compassion.  God's Word is true, righteous, and eternal.  It can be trusted, so when He says that salvation will save you from wickedness you can believe it.
In this fallen world there will always be evil.  There will always be people eager to persecute those that follow God.  There will always be radical religious zealots that give religion or Christianity a bad name.  It is just a fact of life.  The choice you have is to believe and to follow no matter what or be faithless and rebel.  One leads to the dream ending and one leads to pity and disdain of judgment.  One leads to an abundant life and one to crushing the soul.

Psalm 119: 153-160
