As we enter into the holiday season, it sets a mood. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is a day full of rich food, time with loved ones, and setting of good cheer for the rest of the year. However, Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. It is a mindset that puts the attitude into seeing the best in things. The season is great, but the attitude can be year round.
True thanksgiving is based on your relationship with God. It is acknowledging how good He is and how His love is forever. It is something to take note of because we never want to forget. When you begin to think everything is about you, you loose that thanksgiving in your heart and mindset. You stop claiming victory in your life that is based on faith.
When you are in anguish and you turn to God, you get to witness a victory. He has set you free at the moment of salvation, but it takes the mind some time to catch up. It takes time to give Him all your fears, doubts, and confusion.
Facing reality and your salvation is called working out your salvation. God is with you if your surrender your doubts and fears and if you choose not to surrender. Yhy not give over the things that try to steal your joy and kill your thanksgiving. A life of thanksgiving altars perception. It gives life a better outlook.
