Hesed

 

    Hesed is really Chesed in Hebrew .  It is written as חסד and pronounced as kheh-sed.  It is the best way to describe God's eternal love for His people.  It is not flashy.  Is is not if you are good enough.  It is strong and enduring.  He will never stop loving you.

    Hesed is something that should give your heart a good sense of thanksgiving once you understand.  If you allow yourself to stop in your day to just think about all the wonders that He has done in your life and how you are still alive.  You should be able to grasp a since of the worth of Heaven and Earth.  

    God created everything including time.  He gave us day and night, so our bodies would know when to go and when to rest.  All He did was for our benefit.  All he wants is to squash sin, so that we can all be close to Him.  You may wonder for a little while, but He never leaves you.

    He has the power over life and death, so life really is a gift.  He gives and He takes away, but it is all for our benefit.  God displays Hesed by taking care of our daily needs.  He provides for us.  He gives some more abundantly than others, but that is for Him to decide.  His love last for eternity and that is the kind of love I want.  He never forgets about you or me.
