Humble Spirit

Humility is to be modest or view little of your own self-importance.  It goes hand in hand with meekness.  In the States, this is considered weakness by most of society.  However, it takes a great amount of self-control, practice, and strength to live a humble lifestyle.  It is being set to go against the currant no matter how difficult that is.
A humble spirit puts the needs of others above themselves and doesn't take the time to think about.  It comes natural.  It leave them vulnerable to be hurt.  Everyone gets hurt in life, but they are transparent and honest about it.  They live a lifestyle of forgiveness.  They forgive immediately, even if the person never ask to be forgiven.  They relies on God to protect and nurture them.
A humble spirit rejects pride, so that they can be closer to God.  They are able to have a quiet and peaceful soul.  It requires hours of time with God in His Word, prayer, and meditation.  It requires a maturing Christian to set their priorities to be God focused instead of now focused.  You have to be willing to persevere and put all your hope in God.  This faith is not just for right now, but for eternity.
