Obedience is more than doing what you are told by an authority figure. It is to be compliant with an order, request, or law. It is an observance of a rule above yourself. God is the highest form of authority. He wants your obedience, but he wants your heart to desire it more than the actions themselves.
Sin is what we accepted in life, but actually sold us to Satan. He has a great influence over our lives. It was so powerful that Adam and Eve were evicted from Eden (perfection). Sin comes at a very high price. God can't allow evil to corrupt perfection, so He has to keep it separated. If we don't find salvation before we die, then we are separated from Him for eternity. It is something that we should all mourn.
God calls to you. Will you answer? He wants to give you His strength to fight against temptation and be able to be an obedient servant. He wants to shelter you from sin and the evils in the world because He gives more than you do. He gives words of wisdom and comfort to the weary soul. He has the power to awaken a dead or dormant soul. All you have to do is turn away from your rebellious nature and allow Jesus to redeem (rebuy) your soul. In doing so, you get a clean slate.
God will not let His people be disgraced. He will condemn anyone who tries to hurt His family. He brings fear to those that disobey His Word. You can trust in the power of His name and follow the path that He lays out for you. It is better than any path that you try to forge on your own. His path leads you to Him. Your path will lead you to eternal torment.
Isaiah 50
