Spiritual Blessings

 

    A blessing is considered a prayer asking God for His favor or protection.  Some think that it is the prayer before and after a meal.  However it is more.  It is the response from God finding favor in you.  A spiritual blessing is blessing applied in the spiritual realm.  A good example is spiritual gifts that you receive upon salvation that are developed throughout your new life.

    God is your creator.  He is willing to help those that belong to Him.  He is the first and the last.  There are no other gods.  He is it.  You can have a relationship with Him or not, but He is the only God.  A person that has a relationship with Him is His witness to testify to the world.  We witness because we experience His endearment.  He gave us the Holy Spirit who pours out blessing upon us.  The results is spiritual transformation and growth.

    Idols are nothing.  There is no real worth there.  It cannot support or take care of you.  There is no good to be found there.  You are playing a very dangerous game when you put your faith in idols.  You put your life in your own hands trying to make yourself a god.  You will not succeed.  It also shows God that you have no real understanding of who He is.

    Stop and think.  Why would give God your left overs.  He deserves being the given the best of what you have to give.  It is a delusion in the heart to not think that this is stealing from God.  We were made to serve Him.  Without a relationship with God, our lives are always incomplete.  When you have a relationship with Him, your offenses are swept away and you find redemption.  

    The spiritual blessings that come from a relationship with God should have your singing in joy.  Everything He has promised has happened or will.  He has never let you down.  How He has taken care of you may not have been the way you wanted, but He never was not there for you.  He is sovereign.  

    This is His world.  He is in control of the cosmos.  He can do with it as He pleases.  He doesn't have to ask you about your opinion or thoughts.  He gave you a brain to figure things out for yourself.  We can use that brain to make the world a better place to live in, but do not get confused on who it belongs to or who is in control.  We are only the stewards of this planet.
