Boundaries

    Boundaries are one of the best gifts that God gave to people.  It makes things clear to avoid any misconceptions, misunderstandings, and discord over anything that would distract your attention from Him.  God set clear boundaries, aka expectations, for people and land.  This gave us the foundations for boundaries so we could set clear and healthy boundaries in our lives.  They are meant to save relationships, not destroy them.

    God once provided the divisions of land between the 12 tribes.  After their exile, all that was wipes away so that they could start over fresh.  God ends His time of prophecy with Ezekiel with resetting the boundaries for His people.  The boundaries were expanded and enlarged.

    The Zadokites were now God's faithful priest.  They had their designated land like the Levites when they were God's chosen spiritual leaders.  The structure was the same because God never changes.  It was just a little more flexible to include more people to be able to have a relationship with God.  He made room.

    God lived in Jerusalem.  He resided in His temple.  On the surface nothing looked like it had changed, but He had created a new city.  It is the same Jerusalem that you read about in Revelations.
