Contributed Sacrifice

God received a portion of the land when it was divided among the tribes.  The land designated to God was considered holy.  Within that portion was where the priest had their designated living space.  That was their sacrifice.  They never had land or a home.  Their home was God.  He is all they needed to rely on.
The leader of other nations were no longer able to oppress God's people.  God's people no longer had to fear eviction.  God made some changes to the infostructure of economy.  The scales are fair and honest.  He changed how money would be handled within the church and government which worked hand in hand.
The people had to be retaught on Moses' records of God's laws.  The rules and regulations had not changed, but the people no longer knew what they were.  People have to know to be able to comply.  Change requires sacrifice and we all have to contribute something: time, money, submission, or something else.  Back then they all had to contribute a living sacrifice for atonement: animal or food.
