Unappreciated

Jesus gave all that he had and people still wanted more or they wanted him to disappear.  If anyone was unappreciated by the public, it was Jesus.  In his personal life, he was misunderstood or misperceived, but he had fellowship and brotherly love.  He is God, so he knew the best way of handling bad situations and negativity (hatred), but we are not God.  Feeling unappreciated can lead to a very negative thought process.  Before we start complaining about feeling unappreciated, we should look at Jesus.  We may find appreciation and appreciate what we do have a little more.
The true followers of Christ knew his voice.  If he calls, they answer.  They will not be led astray by an impersonator (false prophet or lying Jesus).  It was true when he was on earth and it is true today.  Like a good shepherd he directs his followers toward salvation and through the gate into Heaven.  He is the only entrance to Heaven.  No one can break in or sneak in.  There is no room for pettiness, rigidity, or a hard heart.
Satan is the original thief, murderer, and liar.  He seeks to steal, kill, and destroy your heart, mind, and soul.  He hates everything about us.  He is not going to give anything back.  He is not going to sacrifice anything for you.  His goal is to scatter Christians and isolate us because it makes us weaker.  Why would you want to follow that influence?  He will do all he can to distract you and lead you away from Jesus.  He is good at his job too.  It leads to negative feelings, hatred, and an isolated mindset.
Jesus willingly allowed his human body to die a grotesque death because he is the Good Shepherd.  He felt every second of pain that came with his torture.  He did it because he loves all of us.  He gathers his followers to strengthen us, show us love, and to protect us.  He will not force you to follow, but he will do all that he can to save you from yourself.  The very reason why Jesus came to Earth was to be the Good Shepherd for all of mankind.
Jesus knows you personally.  He knows every hair on your head.  He knows your mind so well that that he understands how and why you process things the way you do.  When you feel alone, lonely, isolated, misunderstood, or unappreciated remember that.  His love for you is beyond measure.
You are not alone in this world.  If you are a Christian, then you are a part of Jesus' one and only flock.  No one can destroy him.  Following him may not be the easiest path, but it does lead to ultimate victory.  Everyone wins with Jesus and not in a participation type of way.  For some reason, this truth divides people.  Don't leave yourself vulnerable.  Follow Jesus and be a part of something bigger than yourself.  It gives life a healthy perspective.  Faith gives life appreciation and purpose.
