What does being triumphant look like?

In the modern era triumphant looks like the movies.  People who overcame overwhelming odds.  The superhero wins the day.  Our role model's life looking like it is so easy where you want yours to like like that.  Jesus' example of being triumphant is very different.
He prepared for His entry into Jerusalem because it would be his last time like He was.  He entered the city like a famous person treated with the upmost respect and honor.  Yet He still wept over the people in the city.   He warned His closest friends that soon they would be facing what He faced now.  It broke His heart that all of them, but one would die horrific deaths for Him.  He had been with them, but no one really understood.
The first place Jesus went was to His father's house.  I imagine He needed to be in a place of comfort while fulfilling a prophecy.  When He got there, He had to drive out vendors.  People who had turned the house of prayer into a den of robbers.  He taught there everyday that week.  It was not hard for his enemies to find Him.  However, they didn't want to risk discontent from the people.
Jesus was triumphant because even though no one really understood, people were beginning to grasp the truth.  He was triumphant because He did not sin to accomplish what He wanted.  He was triumphant because He did what was best for other people rather than Himself and doing so opened the door to salvation to everyone.

Luke 19: 28-48
