To live by faith is a nice concept, but to actually life out your life in faith takes being intentional. Paul is the best example in the New Testament on how to live out your faith. He was an apostle. He was a leader. He was a determined intellect. He was wise.
God had set Paul aside for the gospel of the Holy Scriptures. Paul called the gentiles to obedience to Jesus through faith. Life is nothing without faith. When you are living your life by faith you see spiritual gifts. There is no point in having them if you aren't going to use them, so they will lie dormant until you do. The Spiritual Gifts help make you strong and encourage during trials.
When you become a Christian, you have accepted God's invitation to join His family. That means that you too the initiative and now you have a calling. It no longer an invitation, but orders on how to live an obedient life to God. The orders is to have a relationship with God. It is not one sided. We live holy and God gives us gifts and eternity with Him. You have been set apart.
Never be ashamed of your faith. Stand proud for God and He will reveal righteousness through your faith. Don't suppress the truth because there is no excuse that will suffice. It reveals an ungrateful heart of darkness and foolishness. This reveals that you rather live in your sinful desires over having a relationship with Jesus. It means you believe the lie.
Naturally we are filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, rebellion, and depravity. The top ones are envy, murder, strife, deceit, homosexuality, molestation, shameless, gossip, malice, slander, God-hater, insolence, arrogance, boasting, disobedience, unloving, senselessness, faithlessness, heartlessness, and ruthlessness. All these bring death by corrupting the mind through impure love.
The only way out is God. His pure love can change you. He can save you from your spiritual death. He will set your moral compass. He can set you free to live a different life.
