Mistrial

Paul handled his trials so well that the judicial system didn't know what to do with him.  Today we would call it a mistrial.  He had to go to Rome to be retried under Roman law, but before that he had to face the Jewish king for his third trial.
Paul went before the king and spoke well.  He gave his testimony again.  His faith in God's protection gave him conviction that he couldn't go wrong.  He spoke boldly without hesitation.  He had no room for fear.
The governor, Festus, thought he was insane.  The officials left Paul to discuss all that he had said.  King Agrippa was confused on why he had never been set free.  He said if Paul had not requested to face the Caesar that he would have set him free.  Instead, Paul would be heading to Rome for a retrial.
