Love of God

 

    God's love for us is vast.  We may not really understand that until we experience something painful that induces fear, discomfort, or unpleasant feelings to convict us.  It is the conviction from the Holy Spirit that lets us know that God loves us enough to remind us that He is there.  He reminds us what is righteous and what is sin.

    As you search for peace in your life, you will start to see beauty in the world around you again.  You see the little moments that God is giving you because He loves you.  You can find beauty in the pain when you hear God calling you to Him.  His power of love is transforming.  It can turn the hardest person into a lovable goofball.  It can turned the most depressed person you know into the most optimistic person.  It has the power to change all of us into the best version of ourselves,

    God's love is more powerful than sin.  That is why it can cover any sin committed.  Here is the thing: Just because God loves you, it does not mean that He will not get mad at you.  If you chose sin to have power over you instead of His freeing power, then He will be angry.  He gets jealous that you chose selfish desires over your relationship with Him.  His jealousy is righteous because it doesn't come from a dark place, but from love.

    God does not want anyone to go to the pit.  He set the terms.  We know the terms.  If we chose to ignore or decline those terms, then we send ourselves to the pit.  It is not God's doing.  He is just upholding His Word.  If He didn't, then He would not be God.

    Chose to find relief, comfort, love, security, and salvation by walking in faith.  Even the weakest faith can save you.  Maturity can come in time, if you have time.  None of us know when the end will come for each of us.  Time is precious.  It is one thing that none of us should waste.  

    Dedicate yourself to prayer and it will empower your gifts given by the Holy Spirit.  When you spend time in God's Word and pray over it, you will be shown how to love as the truth is revealed to you.  Mercy is the key to love.  Love brings joy through salvation, but mercy gives us redemption.  It was God's mercy for us that He sacrificed Jesus.  

    Everyone has been wounded in this world.  Sin has made all of us dirty.  It is the mercy of God that makes us clean.  It is His love that makes us whole.  God gave us our body, mind, and soul.  None of them are a waste.  We were all made out of love.  That is why when we make things in love it means more to other people than if we just used skill.

    God sees you at your worst.  He has seen you abuse the gift of your body.  He knows all you have done when you have not appreciated His gifts.  He still loves you.  Even when you push Him away and abuse the relationship, He still loves you.  Nothing you do will make it where He does not love you.

    It is hard to fathom because human love is so superficial in comparison.  No one can love you as well as God does.  We need to try not to give up on people because God does not give up on people, but we all have our limits.  We can give people over to God to save our relationship with God.   That is not giving up, but it is giving yourself permission to step away.

    The best way to show God that we love Him is through our faith and obedience.  We need to strive to love Him the way He loves us.  I really doubt that is possible, but we can love Him more than anyone or anything else.  We can chose to be obedient.  That means that we chose to love Him everyday.
