Patience is a blessing because it gives you rest. If you hold onto patience, then you mind will not wonder to places that make you anxious and worry. Patience helps you understand that there is a reason for everything and that God will use it for good. You can only possess the blessing of patience if you understand that God has a plan.
We are commanded to wait patiently on God's timing. Understand that God is hearing your prayers, but that does not mean that He will answer them immediately. Some things can wait, even if they feel like they cannot.
God always has a purpose. He wants you to mature in your faith. Waiting is a sign of maturing. It brings you closer in your relationship with Him as you patiently fulfill His plan for your life. It doesn't happen in a day. It is a journey.
Patience is the willingness to wait. It is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. If you are on the journey of life with God, then you do not have a timed schedule. You are working on His time table and accepting the benefits of waiting.
If you step out of God's will, then you are on your own in life. He will allow you to fall and fail to teach you a lesson. You may get a lot quickly, but you can lose it just as quickly. If you think you know better than God about your life, then you are allowed to live it without Him. Just don't expect Him to be waiting in the sidelines to be tapped back into your games.
Anger is not a sin. It is what you do with your anger that is a sin or a virtue. Jesus was angry in God's temple when he saw people treating it like a market. He reacted, but He did not sin. We may judge his actions, but he did not sin.
Paul was facing death because his word brought out anger in people. He did not sin for calling sin out. It was the people that allowed the anger to consume them to the point that they wanted to kill. That anger drove them to sin. Paul did not give into retribution anger. Instead he was brave and courageous enough to face people while patiently waiting on God to do His thing.
Delay without frustration is a blessing, but it is a blessing that you have to work toward. It does not come naturally. Frustration is a sign of the carnal nature that wants to allow anger to control you. You are responsible for keeping yourself in check. Instead of allowing your temper to get the better of you, try calming acceptance during difficult times. Embrace the blessing of patience and become perfect and complete as a child of God.
