El Hanne'eman or El HaNe'eman (ehl hah-neh-eh-MAHN) is אֵל הַנֶּאֱמָן in Hebrew. It means "the Faithful God". El (אֵל) is for God. Ha (הַ) is the. Ne'eman (נֶּאֱמָן) is faithful, reliable, or trustworthy. This name describes God as steadfast, dependable, trustworthy, and loyal. He always upholds His promises. He is solid, secure, and unshakeable.
El Hanne'eman is found mainly in Deuteronomy. This can be a hard book to get through, but if you understand the purpose and meanings found there it really helps you understand the New Testament better. You see how God's nature is to support you, makes your certain about faith, and remains true to who He is and His promises. All He ask in return is your devotion.
The Jewish use the word ne'eman for amen. It is used humbly for people to see themselves frail and inconsistent next to God. Fore the Jews amen is more than the closing of a prayer. It is putting your trust and faith in God. It means that they know that God will answer their prayers. God is always working with your prayers. He never forgets or drops them unless they are being treated like a wish list or selfishly. True prayer will not go unanswered or unheard.
When you pray to El Hanne'eman you are taking a real look at yourself to compare who you are and how you are acting to God. You never need to compare yourself to others, but you do need to compare yourself to God. Only there will you see who you really are and where you fall short of His expectations. From there you can repent, find gratitude, or seek to be closer to God. When you pray put your complete trust into God and expect a response.
