This is a name that describes Jesus as the provider of needs. It is a spiritual metaphor for Jesus being the sustenance for eternal life. Salvation is your soul nourishment that never runs out.
Lechem Ha-chayim is what you need for your soul to never be hungry again. He is always present to take care of your spiritual needs. You never have to look long or hard. He is there. He is what provides fellowship between you and God. Jesus is the Messiah and this name encompasses that fact. He is manna for Christians.
