Yahweh Tsuri

 

    Yahweh Tsuri (YAH-way tsoo-REE) or Jehovah Tsuri is יהוה צוּרִי in Hebrew.  It means that "the Lord is My Rock".  It is a description of how He is your steadfast protector.  He is impenetrable, stable, and never ending strength.  He doesn't get tired, bored, or give up.  He is dependable and immovable refuge for when you do get tired and want to give up.

     Yahweh Tsuri is your rock of faith.  He is your fortress when you need protection.  He is your deliverer when persecuted.  He is always present.  He is never distant.  If you feel distance, then that means you pulled  away or so emotionally exhausted that you can't feel Him.  You have to trust faithfully in those times.  David sang to Yahweh Tsuri to celebrate the protection He provided.

    Pray using the name Yahweh Tsuri when you need strength.  When life is so hard that you can't see clearly, then turn to Him for clarity, shelter, direction, and strength that is beyond what you have.  God is always your protector, but you are expected to do your part.  You need the Holy Spirit's guidance to know and understand your role in whatever battle you are in.  

    Pray like Hannah (in 1 Samuel) acknowledging where your true strength comes from and praising Yahweh Tsuri for protecting you this far.  Pray for enduring faith and strength to stand on your salvation, and to be hidden from evil when you need to be.  Pray using Yahweh Tsuri as you are being spiritually matured.  You will be blessed for being obedient.
