Circling Back

When we start something, we need to follow up to see the idea or project through to the end.  If it involves trusting people to carry on your idea or vision, then it is always good to make sure that they stay on the same page as you.  I do not know if Paul had a vision of what the church was supposed to look like, but he certainly knew how it needed to function.
After his time in Athens, Paul began to visit some of the places where he had planted churches.  He made it all the way back to Jerusalem, the starting point.  Everything always seems to circle back to that city.  However, he did not stay very long.  He kept on going.  The point of this journey was to strengthen the disciples.
Circling back provided new opportunity.  Apollos was a disciple of John the Baptist, but much like Paul.  He was bold, challenging, and very intelligent.  Priscilla and Aquila explained more accurately about Jesus.  He became a great missionary because of his vigor.  He alone would have made the entire journey worth it.
Acts 18:18-28
