Suffering is never pleasant, but it can be good. Doesn't that sound contradictory? The law of suffering feels wrong. However, suffering allows us to see God's grace. Everyone suffers whether they are a Christian or an unbeliever, why not get something out of it. Look at it as an opportunity for God to reveal something to you personally.
God waits for us like an eager parent waits to be reunited with their child after a time apart. He waits for us to liberate ourselves from the bondage of sin. He watches in frustration because He wants you to know Him. He wants to help you through your suffering. He will use your suffering to help you develop you into a patient and strong person. We must push His patience in our stubbornness to be independent.
The Holy Spirit is the one that intercedes your prayers to connect with God. He understands your mind better than you understand anything about yourself. When you cant even get words out past the pain, He tells God what is happening in your heart. He tells God what you need and want.
If you love God, then He is working for you to succeed in your purpose in this world. You have to invest into that relationship or it is not a real relationship at all. He knows the difference. When you invest into Him, then He will justify you in His glory.
You may suffer for your relationship with God, but never as much as Jesus did. It is important to remember that after Jesus suffered that He came back for us, then He rose to Heaven. It is better to be in pain now than separated from Him for eternity. Once you are God's, then nothing can take you away from Him.
Romans 8:18-39
