Peaceful Faith

Jesus being in this world gives us a sense of peace.  He opened the door to peace with God.  We no longer need to struggle to figure out what He wants.  Jesus' presence introduced grace into our lives.  This grace is what makes peace possible.
When we suffer in life, we can keep the peace that is produced by faith and grace.  We have to be intentional about keeping our peace, so that it is not snatched away.  When you keep your peace in the midst of the suffering, then you produce perseverance that makes strong and steady character.  That is when God's hope comes into the picture.  This hope is knowing deep in your soul.
Hope comes from having the Holy Spirit living in your soul keeping it safe.  God pursued you while you lived deep in your sin.  Imagine what He can do when you let all that go.  Jesus' blood reconciled us through faith.  This reconciliation produces peace within the soul.
When left to our own devices, then we will be like Adam in the garden.  We will die in our sin and there is nothing more tragic than that.  Sin produces judgment.  Jesus counters that judgment with righteous justification.  He knows we are not capable to get there without help and Jesus loves helping.
God gave us the law for our benefit.  He did it knowing that our trespasses would increase.  It sounds bad, but we need to see how much we need Him.  If we can't see it, then we will never go to Him.  We believe we are good people and deserve good things.  When we open our eyes to the truth, then we see grace and it will increase.  Sin reigns death.  Jesus reigns eternal life with the gift of grace.
