Be Encouraged When Warned

Jesus warned His friends to be on guard against hypocrites.  That is wise counsel today.  The warnings that Jesus gave when He was on Earth still apply today. Be encouraged because it is meant to save you from grief.  Things that are hidden will be revealed.  We have nothing to fear if we have a pure heart.  The body can be hurt and die, but nothing can kill the soul.  If anything hurts the soul, then Jesus can make it better.
The warning is meant to get you to focus on your relationship with Jesus instead of the distractions of the world.  Jesus knows you so intimately, that He knows every strand of hair you have.  Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is not forgiven because He is the one that lives in the soul.  He understands your heart better than you.  When you embrace whatever God sends your way, then the Holy Spirit will be your defense.  He will teach you how and when to talk and what to say.
Be on guard of fools and greed.  It is deceptively convincing that you need things to be happy.  However, nothing will go with you to Heaven: nothing.  If you have plenty, then it is better to share with those whom have nothing.  It will bring you more joy, than the things.  Hoard all your worldly belongings and you will be a poor person in God's eyes.
Do not worry about your life or the lives of those that you love.  God is there.  He will not let His people go without their needs.  Worry only destroys the joy you can have in life.  Instead, turn it into faith because God wants to provide for you.  Turn the worry into seeking Heaven.  Build up your eternity and do not worry about your today.  Whatever you receive there will never decay, be destroyed, broken, age, or stolen.  You reveal your heart by what you treasure now.

Luke 12: 1-34
