Being Lost

People get so busy complaining about Jesus and what He says that they miss the point.  When we are complaining, we can't see our own need for what He is saying.  Jesus told parables because they are timeless and spoke to His audience.  It is a way to analyze for yourself and workout what you believe.  If you you will not even consider them, they that may mean you are lost.
Jesus tries to tell you just how important you are.  He is not focusing on your sin.  That is you and maybe other people.  He is trying to tell you a different way, so that you turn from your sin on your own accord.  It can never be forced or it is not genuine.  We are all loved and sought after, but no one person is more important than another.  We all need to see our need for salvation.
The lost search, unknowingly at times, for God and answers to life.  They focus on material things because they make life easier or feels better.  However, those are just distractions.  It is better to keep searching, but for Jesus.  When you find Him, there is purpose.
There are stages in Christianity.  Any seasoned Christian can tell you that they have been in all of them.  If not, then they will be.  We are all the one praying for our loved ones, selfish, jealous, and judgmental.  Just because you got through that stage, it does not mean that it may not come around again.  Maybe there is more too it.  That is why we have parables.  They help you work out your deep issues without guilt or judgment from other people.  They are meant to show you that Jesus just wants you.

Luke 15
