How to Honor

Some people think that if you do anything on the Sabbath that you are sinning, but God is more concerned about the heart (motivation).  We need to put aside time to rest and worship.  Whether it be on Saturday or Sunday.  Some people have to work.  If we do not work, then we do not eat or have shelter.  However, we need to do all we can to keep the day Holy.  If society would come together again and make it where nothing was open, then things would be more simple.
It is not about what we eat that dishonors God.  It is how we eat.  In the States people tend to over eat.  We don't seem to have self-control to stop because we love food.  The question is: Do you love food more than you love God?
To honor God, don't worry so much about the rules.  Honor God by doing good no matter what others may think of you.  Pray continuously, so to be close to God.  Do not just speak to Him, but take time to sit in the quiet to hear His voice in return.
Bless the poor, hungry, hurting, and even the hateful.  Go out of your way to do good for those whom desire evil for you.  That way when God turns it around, you have a front row seat.  Pity the people whom rely on their wealth, food, being happy, and popular.  Pity them because they do not see their need for Jesus.
The best way to honor God is to do good for those people that hate you.  Pray for them.  Do not give into reacting poorly.  It is easy to be good to those whom are good to you.  It takes work to love those whom hate you.  Yet, God wants us to show them mercy.  By doing so, you tell the world who is your Lord.
Honor God by fighting the urge to judge other people.  We have to forgive to be forgiven by God.  It is proof that you are maturing in your relationship with Him.  It shows that you know how to evaluate yourself to see yourself clearly and not act as a hypocrite.
You honor God by your deeds.  You will only do good if you have goodness in your heart.  If you have evil, then all your attempts to look good will only reveal your true intent.  What you have in your heart will be revealed in your words.  A pure heart will readily obey God.  They will build a strong foundation on His instruction where obedience comes like breathing.  To ignore Him reveals a fool whom will collapse under pressure.
