Power and Authority

As a follower of Jesus, He has given us the power and authority to do His work on Earth.  It would be grievous to take advantage or to ignore the calling.  We have the power to drive out Demons and heal the sick if we have just a little faith.
We are all called to preach the good news.  Go out with what you have on you and be bold.  You don't need tools, guides, or things to be able to have a conversation.  It is all about relationships.  If a person rejects you, then they are really rejecting Jesus.  It is not personal.  If it is personal, then it is not because of following Jesus.  People need and are hungry for the truth.  They may just not know it at the time.
When you go out have people in your life to keep you accountable.  It is easy to fall into patterns where things become about you instead of serving Jesus.  With accountability partners you have people that keep your triumphs in perspective, be honest about your failures, and people who know how to best pray for you throughout life.
You have the power and authority to take care of those even when you do not have the means.  Give people food and you will be fed.  Give people clothes and you will not be without.  The secret to the power and authority is knowing the character of Jesus and God.  They cannot leave their people behind.  At the same time, you cannot expect to have it better than Jesus.  You are required denying your selfish desires.  Go boldly and never be ashamed of Him.  If you are, then on the day you meet Him, He will not know you.

Luke 9: 1-27
