The Vine

God commanded us to be fruitful in what we do.  We are meant to be His glory and live to our full potential.  That is why Jesus used the Vine and Branches parable to give us a different perspective on life and eternity. If people persist in living for ourselves and not acknowledge God, then he is forced to cut them off.  It is the only way the entire vine can flourish.
We all bear fruit of our labor (money, lifestyle, social connections, or other).  Those who bear bad fruit will be cut down, so not to infect the rest of the vine with their poison.  Those that are cut off will burn.  This is how to keep disease from spreading.  The bad part is once they begin to burn, it will never end.  Their souls will never be consumed.  That is why they are separated.  Otherwise they would try to make God's children burn too.
Jesus gave us the way on how to follow God's commands.  We do all things in love like His (sacrificial).  This love will complete your joy.  Even if you face burning trials here and now, your joy can stay intact.  If you follow Jesus' way, then you are His friend.  This friendship gives you purpose.  You didn't chose Him, He chose you.  It is important to remember that to keep your self-importance in check.
Do not let the hate of the world rob you from your joy.  The world hated Jesus, so it is natural that it hates you for following Him.  Anyone that has their sin exposed will hate the one that exposes it.  He is the Spirit of Truth.  This spirit testifies in you or against you.
Jesus is the vine.  God is the gardener.  We are the branches.  We are the only element that can be altered or removed.  We have to adjust so that the planet can thrive.  We need to make the planet clean again by remaining and trusting God.  The only way we can thrive is to remain in Jesus.

John 15
