God Provides

We all have complicated people in our lives.  We have those people that you have to deal with and love even though all you want is to get away from them.  You know, those people that can only see the cup half full.  They are always complaining about something.  It could be a beautiful day and all they can say is it is too hot.  Nothing makes them happy.
Well, God has to deal with all of those people.  We have it so easy in comparison.  I don't know why He has not wiped out all mankind long ago.  Good thing that no human is God.
The Hebrews could not find a way to stay thankful for all God had done for them.  He kept providing for them and they kept finding reasons to complain.  He was trying to do good by them.  He asked so little from them in return, but they did not want to put in any effort.
They were running low on food because God had a beautiful plan to provide for them.  At the same time, He was testing them to see if they could follow directions.  They did not have to hunt or search for food.  He provided quail and manna with easy to follow instructions.  He would provide this for them until they entered the promised land.   Yet some proved that they had greedy hearts.  In return they got maggots and a stench in the left overs.
The lesson is God will provide for our needs.  It may not be laid out in a clear and precise way, but when you need it it will be there: food, money, love, transportation, health, whatever the dire need may be.  The only reason it would not would be because God has a bigger plan.  We just have to show Him that we have an open heart to obey His directions.  We have to honor His life long regulations like honoring the Sabbath.
What kind of person are you?  Are you the type that will appreciate what God gives you, when He give it to you?  Or are you the type that will worry so much that you can't appreciate the gifts that He is giving?  Do you take advantage of God's patience or thank Him for it?
