Priestly Expectations

We all have expectations at work.  We all have the things to do and not to do.  The whole point is to keep the workplace running smoothly.  However, when you are working directly for God, the expectations are a little different.  You should treat everyone the same and well, but you have an internal code of conduct too.
The priest of the this time had to be consecrated before becoming God's employee.  They washed and dressed outside of the Meeting Tent, which was the moving church.  Aaron was anointed, so that he could consecrate the others.
Next came the sacrifice.  Since Adam and Eve there has always been innocent blood shed for the sins of people.  They had to be purified before starting their service.  It took seven days to become purified.  I imagine it was exhausting, but to make God happy why would they not do it.
Their diet became restricted the day they entered the priesthood.  The reward was that God was with them.  The constant comfort of having God with you makes any sacrifice worth it.   I mean they were consecrated in God's glory.
Here is the catch, every Christian is supposed to live like a priest.  We are all Holy sacrifices.  The good part is that since Jesus came we don't have to do all the extras like bloody sacrifices to make God happy.  Our sacrifices are more like maybe a position that we want, relationships, housing, and comfort.
