Making a Choice

Life is a combination of choices that you make.  The choices pave the path of your story.  Some parts are fun and exciting with a lot of light.  Some parts are painful.  Some parts are scary.  Some parts are dark.  We can't control everything that happens to us, but we do make a choice on how to handle the unexpected twist and turns.
When we chose to obey God no matter what, then He is pleased.  You will see blessings happening all around you.  You will see it personally, but also within your city and country.  It is like when you expect good things to happen, then you can see good things all around you.  However, if you expect bad things, then all you see is the negative and what is wrong in life.
When you chose God, you will see blessings in your home, work, and the silver lining in all circumstances.  You are Holy, so you can see heaven open up to you.  You know that God will take care of you in all situations.  When you chose not to swerve or deviate from God's ways, then all your steps and choices are steady and sure.  There is no need to second guess your choices.
However, if you chose your own way over God's way, then you will see curses all around you.  You will find yourself hungry in life, maybe food but probably more likely for satisfaction in life.  You will be confused on how your life ended up where it is.  The "what if" game becomes first nature.
God will allow ruin in your life to try to rebuke you and get you to listen.  You may watch your health fail.  You will be uncomfortable in your own skin.  You will watch your enemies thrive while you seem to be going no where.  Even if you have some success, you will never be able to feel it or hold onto it.  It will all be meaningless.
Your family will be a root of worry and concern.  You will not be able to find happiness in your marriage.  You will feel oppressed to the point of madness in all aspects of life.  All the pride in you will be broken.  Your mind will be a battlefield where you find no peace.  This will leave you unhappy, weary, and anxious.
How your life turns out is your choice.  The things that happen in life is not.  You may have to work hard to get the life you desire.  You just have to go to God first.  Work out what you really want with Him, then go for it.
