Female Leadership

There has always been controversy on female leadership.  God made women to be helpers of the man.  Well, sometime for women to help men it puts them in a leadership position.  When a man does not step up, then women have to.  There are natural women leaders just like there are natural male leaders.
Women's brains do work differently than a men's brains, but it doesn't mean that they can't lead.  That is why we are strongest together.  However, there is a time and a place for women and for men to lead.
Miriam had been the first female church leader.  Deborah was the first female political leader.  God appointed her judge after His people had been oppressed for 20 years.
Deborah was a prophetess and a natural leader.  God sent her to the General Barak to tell him how to defeat the Canaanites.  He was supposed to be the leader, but he would not go to battle without her.  Together they took 10,000 foot soldiers.  Sisera, their enemy, had 900 chariots.  Their odds did not look good, but when God is with you no one can stand against you.  They slaughtered their enemy.
Sisera escaped to what he thought would be a safe place.  He found a Hebrew woman, Jael, and asked her for help.  She tended to him and when he fell asleep in her tent, she took a tent peg and put it through his temple.
After Jael killed the leader, she found Barak and took him to the body.  That day the Israelite nation became strong again and the Canaanite king was destroyed.  It would never have happened without two very different female leaders.  One was in the spot light and one was a hidden victor.  Women are more than capable of doing what needs to be done.  We just view, strategize, and deal with it differently. Differences are a good thing.
