There are all kinds of miracles. There are miraculous recoveries of health. There are miracles of life. There are financial miracles. There are daily miracles that people tend to overlook. We have be looking for them to really see God's hand in our daily lives. Every single life is a miracle and we are all special to God.
A man died leaving his widow and her two sons in debt which meant the boys would go into slavery. She did not know what to do, so she went to Elisha. He told her to gather all the jars she could find and fill them with whatever oil she had until they were to the rim. When the last jar was full the oil stopped flowing. She sold the oil to pay off her debts. The oil was a miracle, but she had to put a little effort into becoming debt free.
Elisha had a house where he always ate in Shumen. They liked him so much that they gave him a room whenever he wanted to stay the night. He rewarded them with the miracle of a son. He watched the boy grow up, but one day before he was a man, he got sick (maybe a heat stroke) and died. The mother saddled a donkey to find Elisha.
Elisha saw her approaching and was concerned because this was not normal and God had not prepared him. She told him what happened. He sent his servant Gehazi with his staff to run ahead of them and lay the staff on the boys face. Elisha and mother traveled slowly, but once they arrived he locked himself in the room with the dead boy. He had heard about the miracle of Elijah raising a dead boy from the dead, so he knew the concept of what to do. After a while the boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.
Gilgal had a famine, so a few prophets came to Elisha. Elisha sent his man to get herbs and made a stew, but the herbs turned into poison. Elisha solved the problem by adding flour. This was a miracle of saving lives.
Elisha presented 20 loaves of bread to give to 100 men. They ate to their content and had leftovers. This was a miracle of substance. Where there is faith, there are miracles.
